The Beyonce Diet
So what’s the word on the Beyonce diet? Yes, we’re talking about the celebrity/musician Beyonce Knowles. Now, none of us here she needs to lose any weight at all. No way!! Rumor has it that the so-called Beyonce diet was due to a movie role she had where she had to look thinner than her actual figure.
It has been reported that Beyonce lost 20 pounds in a matter of weeks to prepare for an upcoming film role. Beyonce reportedly mixed the syrup with water, lemon juice and cayenne pepper — and it constituted her every meal over a period of days.
Beyonce has warned women not to follow her maple syrup diet, insisting that she’s very happy with her curves and voluptious body shape. The singer lost 20 pounds in 10 days on the liquid diet as she prepared for a new role as a soul diva in new film Dreamgirls.
The maple syrup diet, however, prompted severe criticism from health experts leading Beyonce to urge other women to follow a more sensible weight loss program.
”My nutritionist suggested the only way to do that was the fast (liquid diet program). As soon as it was over I gained the weight back. I would never recommend the diet to anyone unless you are doing a movie and it’s necessary, and you have proper help. There are ways to lose weight healthily if you want to lose weight, but this was for a film.”
Apparently, celebrities need to diet as well. They might have more resources available to them such as fitness trainers and personal chefs but they do diet just like the rest of us. Who knows? Maybe some celebrities even try out Nutrisystem and Jenny Craig (not spokespeople but actually do it to lose weight).
